MORE ABOUT THE TOUR

• Takhtaly Mountain rises 2365 meters above sea level. This is the highest point of the Western Taurus Ridge and it is its silhouette framed by a white haze that can be seen from any corner of the entire Anatolian coast.
• Interestingly, even in summer, the peak of the peak is sometimes covered with snow, and in spring its slopes acquire a reddish hue due to the sand from the Sahara itself, which is brought by the winds.
• Olympos is the second no less popular name of Takhtala, which it received because of the ancient city of Olympos, which stretches at its foot, the same one that Homer described in the Iliad.
• The main attraction of the mountain is the observation deck, located almost at the top, with fantastic landscapes opening from it. The easiest way to get there is by funicular.
• The cable car was built in 2007. The cable car cabins with panoramic windows can accommodate up to 80 people; travel time is 10 minutes; the length of the cable car is 4350 meters – this is the longest structure of this type in Europe.
• The path "From the sea to the sky" is a real journey, albeit a small one, and you can add a share of extreme by combining a visit to Takhtaly Mountain with paragliding. After all, one of the most famous launch pads for paragliding flights in Turkey is located here.
